IT Project Manager

What you'll do: Leading the project initiation, requirements, design, development, testing, and implementation phases of the IT Infrastructure owned projects working with local and remote IT Site Support Technicians and employees to quickly provide high quality solutions to IT and business problems. Vendor management for project scope delivery and timely project status reporting.   This will provide you with the opportunity to learn and work with a variety of equipment and issues including desktops, laptops, network connectivity, Windows and Linux Server software, client configuration management and much more. Work closely with the business on delivering standardized IT Infrastructure and Applications to our growing number of new and expanding Fulfillment Centers, Call Centers and Business Office locations.  Assigned special projects in which you will get to research new technology and solve more complex problems. Responsible for partnering with the project owner/sponsor and all stakeholders to create and implement appropriate and cost efficient solutions based on business objectives.   Acts as project manager, with leadership responsibilities for a matrix team on medium to large sized projects. Manages results as outlined in the project's triple constraints of budget, schedule and scope (objective/quality/performance.) Represents team recommendations to Senior Management, demonstrate influence over governance bodies, and communicate effectively via formal presentations. Builds strong relationships with business and technology leaders.  Understands business area opportunities and challenges, process or system impacts to all related business or systems areas when implementing recommended solution to obtain business objectives.  Initiates and ensures project management and standard methodologies are followed and change management procedures and supporting tools are used in executing all projects as appropriate. Manages deliverable estimation process, resource allocation and efficient utilization; negotiates resource conflicts with other project managers or resource managers as appropriate.  Escalates to Director of Project Delivery and or VP, IT Infrastructure and other Leadership as necessary. Very strong understanding of current infrastructure and application development concepts with the proven ability to implement servers, VMware, SANs, networks, data centers, monitoring and applications in a fast paced, high availability, ITIL environment. Ability to get the respect of the senior technical teams to lead projects, coordinate teams and handle issues and problems effectively in a timely manner. Very strong understanding of current security protection, monitoring and remediation techniques with the proven ability to implement solutions for the network, servers, databases and the desktop. Including PCI compliance. Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity and high availability concepts from planning to testing. Understanding of application development terms and methodologies. Ability to quickly learn and use new complex technical concepts and resolve issues with them in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to discuss complex technical concepts with the technical staff, stakeholders and business executives in a simple straightforward manner. Communicates technical issues, impact, and risk mitigation strategies in business terminology that can be communicated to and understood by non-technical resources. Provides ongoing and timely status updates on project progress, risks, change management and issue resolution.  Leads issue identification, tracking, escalation and resolution documentation.   Monitors risk events before becoming issues and potential roadblocks. Creates and maintains project plan (charters and schedules), and reviews them with the appropriate IT, business partners and steering committees. This includes tracking plans against agreed upon resource levels, timelines and budgets. Responsible for facilitating vendor identification, selection and interfacing with project sponsor, facilities, Legal and Financial areas.  Maintains ongoing management of vendor throughout the life of the project. Performs other duties as assigned. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in IT management, computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or related discipline OR equivalent work experience and technical training with proven project management experience and success. Minimum of seven (7) years of information technology experience with at least five (5)+ years of project management experience guiding medium to large sized (12-24 month, $1-$5+ million) IT infrastructure projects to implementation. Knowledge of project management methodology. Experience in managing Water Fall and Agile or Iterative development projects desired. Experience managing 3rd party vendors in IT infrastructure, IT development, testing and staff augmentation. Experience in technical infrastructure and application development project deliverables. Experience managing project teams (25+ people) operating within a matrix organization. Strong experience with MS project and other related project / program management software. Ability to deliver high quality projects using non-traditional/non-formal PMO structure/processes. Ability to travel, at times last minute, for 1 to 2 weeks at a time.  Ability to be productive in a pet friendly open space seating work environment.  Bonus: Experience in business acquisition and merger integration of IT scope. Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment. Superior customer service and client interfacing skills. Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization. Analytical and problem solving skills. Strong time management skills. Project Management Institute PMP Certification desired. Construction experience - specifically office, call center and or warehouse environments. Experience with Smartsheet administration.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
