Finance Manager, Chewy Brands

Our Opportunity:
Chewy seeks a highly motivated, goal-oriented and experienced Finance Manager, Chewy Brands to and provide financial leadership to our rapidly growing Chewy Brands business based in our Dania Beach, FL corporate headquarters. Combining a deep understanding of finance, practical knowledge of accounting, and using data to make, and drive, decisions. The incumbent will perform all financial planning and analysis, capital planning, and ad hoc projects to support key decisions, drive growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. This includes understanding all aspects of the P&L, periodic reporting of financial results, customer behavior and cohort analysis, new product costings and pricing, variance analysis, data consolidation, and special projects.
This role will be part of the Chewy Brands finance team, working cross-functionally with the broader Chewy finance team, the Chewy Brands product development team, marketing, merchandising, supply chain, and accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and its overall operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in finance, experience proactively initiating and implementing rigor and financial structure to a rapidly scaling business, and pioneering new ways to evaluate business performance. This role is a key position as we continue to scale Chewy Brands' operations and expand our market presence. As a key pillar to the overall Chewy strategy, this role represents a key building block in an exciting business and you will have the opportunity to work closely with the CFO, CEO, and GM of Chewy Brands.
What you'll do:
Scale and improve the existing financial foundation, including operating model / P&L and processes, to drive business decision-making and transparency for key decision makers
Drive the reporting and financial performance management framework for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
Develop and implement new tools and analytical frameworks for evaluating growth and profitability opportunities, as well as providing leadership actionable insights to prior performance
Collaborate with various teams (e.g. product development, FP&A, marketing, supply chain, accounting) to develop core financial strategies and execution plans to grow the portfolio of private label brands and products, including projected impact to the P&L
Partner with Chewy Brands business owners and other finance team members in monthly forecast cycles, working with functional leaders to identify planning assumptions for key business drivers
Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes, and perform risk and opportunities analysis versus business outlook
Create materials for C-suite and Board consumption
What you'll need:
5+ years of relevant finance experience (corporate finance, FP&A, private equity, investment banking), preferably with an understanding of brand or retail (ecommerce) finance and a strong understanding of GAAP
Finance, Accounting, Business or similar degree required; MBA preferred (top 20 business schools)
Superior analytical and modeling skills (building from the ground up), and experience in supporting business case development, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Ability to synthesize large quantities of and complex data into usable / actionable information for a senior leadership audience
Excellent business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills
Advanced MS Office Suite skills; required proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
Track record of taking ownership and driving results in a data-driven, fast-paced environment
Ability to think creatively, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads
Self-starter, driven, and customer-focused personality
Familiarity with a subscription / SaaS, ecommerce or retail business model
Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in both early stage and corporate environments
Experience with SQL and financial reporting systems (Hyperion, NAV, NetSuite, SAP)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
