2019 Graduate Full-Time - Staff Accountant

These monthly workshops over your first year are customized by our Learning and Development team and are intended to propel our FPLs forward in Chewy s fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files
  • Play a key role in the monthly accounting close; recommend improvements in process
  • Review and analysis of financial statements, business unit P&Ls, and key metrics
  • Prepare & review key account reconciliations
  • Prepare year-end and quarter-end audit schedules; liaise with external auditors
  • Assist internal audit in designing and implementing internal controls over accounting processes
  • Provide accounting support for business units
  • Assist in managing the cash disbursement and reconciliation process

What you'll need:

  • Currently completing Master s degree in Accounting with an expected graduation by June 2019
  • CPA designation is highly preferred
  • Strong technical accounting and financial analytical skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Experience working with GL software, SQL or Tableau highly preferred
  • Permanent US work authorization

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
