Finance Manager, Pharmacy

Our Opportunity:
Chewy seeks a motivated, goal-oriented, and experienced Finance Manager, Pharmacy to provide financial leadership to an exciting and fast-paced new business venture based in our Dania Beach, FL headquarters. Combining a deep understanding of finance, practical knowledge of accounting, and using data to make and drive decisions, you will perform all financial planning and analysis, capital planning, and ad hoc projects to support key decisions, drive growth and ensure financial objectives are achieved. This includes understanding all financial aspects of the P&L, periodic reporting of financial results, new product costings and pricing, variance analysis, data consolidation, and special projects. This role will be part of the Chewy Brands finance team, working cross-functionally with the broader Chewy finance team, marketing, merchandising, supply chain, and accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations.
What you'll do:
Develop the overall financial foundation, including operating model / P&L and processes, to drive business decision-making and transparency for a new business
Collaborate with various teams (e.g. FP&A, marketing, merchandising, supply chain, accounting) to develop core strategies and execution plans in growing a new business
Partner with other finance team members in monthly forecast cycles, working with functional leaders to identify planning assumptions for key business drivers
Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes, and perform risk and opportunities analysis versus business outlook
Drive the reporting and financial performance management framework for the business and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate growth opportunities and overall business performance
Create materials for C-suite and Board consumption
What you'll need:
5+ years of relevant experience (FP&A, corporate finance, operations), preferably with an understanding of brand or retail finance and a strong understanding of GAAP
Finance, Accounting, Business or similar degree required; MBA preferred
Strong analytical and modeling skills (building from the ground up), and experience in supporting business case development, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
Ability to synthesize large quantities of and complex data into usable/actionable information
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint / Tableau
Track record of taking ownership and driving results in a data-driven, fast-paced environment
Ability to think creatively, work independently, deal with ambiguity, and meet tight deadlines / prioritize changing workloads
Self-starter, driven, and customer-focused personality
Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in both early stage and corporate environments
Experience with SQL and financial reporting systems (Hyperion, NAV, NetSuite, SAP)
Familiarity with an e-commerce or retail business model
Excellent business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills
Position may require frequent travel

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
