This is an exciting opportunity with the Finance/Utilities Department of the City of Dania Beach.
The ideal individual will perform water meter readings and recording services for the City's water utility services.

Duties & Responsibilities ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Reads water meters on assigned routes and records readings according to the reading cycle schedule May be required to assist in Inspecting meters for tampering, leaks, box conditions, sidewalk areas, access, and obstructions; provides correction or reports to appropriate department staff for resolution May assist in removing and replacing water meters as required Responds to customer-related problems; provides resolution or forwards issues to appropriate department personnel Assists with monthly customer connects and disconnects as required Records and completes all related paperwork and logs Maintains assigned vehicle and equipment according to prescribed schedules Works independently by managing the day-to-day operations of the job functions Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position Qualifications What's required:
(Minimum Requirements) High School Diploma/GED Valid Florida driver's license with an overall good driving record required What's preferred:
(Desired Requirements) At least 1 year (as a full-time employee) experience or more reading water meters in a residential/commercial environment 5 years of experience working in a customer service environment Ability to install/remove water meters Knowledge of streets and business locations in the City of Dania Beach We offer a fun and engaging work environment!
